Our Mini Grants program provides small grants to fund special programs, projects, materials and/or events that benefit individual classes, teachers, and students and the RT Community. In the past, grant awards have purchased new materials for classrooms and school projects, programs, events and school presentations. This year, PTA has budgeted $5,000 for Mini Grants.

Sr. Cancel Grant
PTA also offers this special literacy grant ($400) within Mini Grants, to honor the memory of a beloved teacher, Domingo Cancel, who we lost suddenly in 2013. Sr. Cancel had a true passion for reading, stressing the overall importance of literacy as a key component in the success of a student. He also had a passion for reaching out to children in need and had a lasting impact on many students who passed through RT.
The Staff Appreciation Committee is devoted to pampering our wonderful staff. We attempt to give back to our educators what they give to our children every day. We love to feed our staff and support their needs in many ways. At Parent-Teacher Conferences, PTA hosts a dinner for all staff to help keep them going through the evening. We host a mid-year school supply drive with a little breakfast. In May, Staff Appreciation Week offers a full week of pampering! In past years, PTA has hosted a car wash, massage, flowers and of course, food.
